My last post on Blogger...Philosophy of the Cross is moving

Philosophy of the Cross was born here on Blogger on August 3, 2016, while I was living in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Much has changed since I started POTC. Its beginnings evoke fond memories of people, events, places, and more. I have a feeling of sadness and nostalgia in moving POTC from Blogger—a platform to which I am still attached. But on March 12, 2026, I decided it was time to move because, among other reasons, Substack offers a subscription option. Moreover, Substack also offers a smoother and easier writing experience (at least in my opinion). I think it will help me blog better and more regularly. And the old POTC (this website) will remain active. 

I never explicitly explained on my blog why I picked Philosophy of the Cross as a name (though those who have read my Luther's Augustinian Theology of the Cross might know why). It stems from my studies of Martin Luther’s thinking, which has forever shaped my own. I plan to briefly explain that in my first introductory article on Substack.
